Director and Owner of Queens Dance Academy for 27 Years, Judy's dance career began at age three in a local dance studio under the direction of Joe Wilson. Her passion to dance and teach led the path to study under extraordinary teachers at the Ballet Academy in Queens, Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan and the National Association of Dance and Affiliated Artists. Judy continues her career by attending educational courses and seminars for dance educators.  
 
Francesca began dancing for Queens Dance Academy at the age of 3. Attending St. Francis Prep High School she performed in the school musicals and well as competed with the prep dance team. She then attended C.W. Post Long Island University receiving her BFA in Dance Studies and her BA in Psychology. She studied ballet, pointe and partnering, jazz, tap, African dance, choreography and composition as well as various forms of modern dance. Francesca was selected to perform at the Joyce SoHo Theater as well as the Riverside Church Theater in Manhattan . She is currently studying at Hunter College in pursuit of her Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education for severe disabilities. She plans to continue her education while auditioning and teaching dance.  
 
After studying dance for 15 years at Queens Dance Academy, Amanda is presently teaching and choreographing hip hop, jazz and lyrical routines. Her classes range from all ages and levels. She has represented Queens Dance Academy in Walt Disney World performing on two different occasions. Amanda's solo routines received numerous high score awards. She has been involved in Community Theater in the Rockaway Theatre Company for several years. Amanda will be graduating LaGuardia Community College as a physical therapist assistant in January, 2007 and wishes to pursue a career as a dancer, choreographer and dance therapist.  
 





Angela began dancing at Queens Dance Academy at the age of three, and continues to do so over twenty years later. She earned her BA in 2008 from Hunter College, majoring in English and minoring in Dance. In her undergrad years, she studied ballet and modern dance technique, as well as improvisation, choreography and composition, on top of a rigorous program in English Literature. She danced for the Hunter College Dance Company, where she had the opportunity to perform in the school's national Sharing the Legacy Conference, as well as numerous student choreography showcases. Angela is now back at Hunter College studying for her MA in Adolescent Education, and in pursuit of dual New York State Teaching licenses, in Dance and English.  
 





Laura's passion for dance has led her to dance at Queens Dance Academy for over 25 years. Throughout her time at QDA she has competed in many competitions with solo and group numbers, as well as performed at Walt Disney World. During her high school years, Laura studied dance at Benjamin N. Cardozo High School where she was exposed to many other genres of dance. In college and graduate school Laura obtained a B.A. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, a Masters Degree in Teaching Literacy, and a second Masters Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. She has used these degrees to become a 3rd grade teacher in a private school. Laura's love of teaching children translates well as being Queens Dance Academy's tap instructor to our competition classes.  
 





Christopher started dancing at the age of 6 at South County Movement Center in his hometown in Rhode Island where he competed in regional competitions and attended many seminars to fine his craft. While attending Chariho Regional High School, he performed in musicals such as ‘Pippin’ and ‘Oklahoma’. Christopher was also the captain and co-choreographer of the Chariho Dance Team. He then attended CW Post of Long Island University where he graduated with his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Studies. At CW Post, Christopher studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, African, Theatre, and Modern (Graham, Cunningham, and Limone). He also also attended workshops by many dance companies including Alvin Ailey, Miami City Ballet, David Parsons, and Pilobolus. He was also a choreographer for the resident Post Concert Dance Company.

Christopher Has performed at various spaces including the 14th Street YMCA, the Riverside Church Theatre, as well the Tilles Center of Performing Arts for the Long Island Fringe Festival. He has taught and choreographed for beginning to advanced level students in Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern and Ballet for six years. Christopher is currently a visual merchandiser for a retail company while auditioning and teaching and is excited to be a part of the QDA family.
