Amanda Tasakovic - Owner/Artistic Director
Amanda started dancing at Queens Dance Academy at age 4, and is so excited to continue her journey as the new owner and artistic director. For the last 15 years, Amanda has trained dancers of all levels in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and more. She has also choreographed several award winning routines for our competition team. Throughout her time at QDA, she has competed in many competitions with solo and group numbers, and has performed in Walt Disney World on 3 different occasions. Amanda is a proud member of the Dance Educators of America.
Amanda graduated from LaGuardia Community College with her associates in Natural and Applied Sciences in 2007, and is currently working as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in a nursing home in Queens. She is also the choreographer for Christ the King Musical Theatre group in Middle Village (since 2008) and recently began choreographing The Red Stocking Review in Port Washington which raises money for cancer care.
Amanda is extremely grateful to have this opportunity and is so thankful to have the love and support of her husband, family, and friends that are family (yes, that's you my QDA dance parents). This would all be impossible without each and every one of you.
As the new director of Queens Dance Academy, Amanda hopes to continue the tradition of giving back to our community. She wishes to help children explore their love of dance and help them to grow into the best version of themselves.
